At Temple Shalom, we strive to give congregants of all ages opportunities to continue their educational journey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><meta charset=\"utf-8\">Adult education at Temple Shalom is both clergy and lay directed. Our Adult Education programs cover religious topics, as well as social and political issues relevant to Jewish life. In addition to regular classes and groups, we also present guest lectures and music programs throughout the year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-color\" style=\"color:#6d6e71\">Rabbi Dell&#8217;Era&#8217;s class<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Rabbi Dell&#8217;Era offers a variety of classes throughout the year. Please check the calendar for the current topics being offered. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:1px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-central-palette-3-color has-text-color\">Adult Ed Committee<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Adult Ed Committee organizes regular book clubs and thematic discussions, and occasional hikes, films, lectures, field trips, art presentations, food based sessions, and musical events. Book clubs over zoom during the pandemic have been a smashing success; we\u2019ve read and discussed Israeli history and the Israeli\/Palestinian conflict, among other things. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:1px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-color\" style=\"color:#6d6e71\">Rosh Chodesh<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>This group of women of Bat Mitzvah age meets monthly in members\u2019 homes, around the time of the new moon. We offer up traditional prayers to welcome the new month and discuss a wide range of Jewish and secular topics chosen by the participants. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:10px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text alignfull is-stacked-on-mobile\" style=\"grid-template-columns:40% auto\"><figure class=\"wp-block-media-text__media\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"4032\" height=\"3024\" src=\"https:\/\/templeshalommedford.org\/wp2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/img_e4465.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-362 size-full\"\/><\/figure><div class=\"wp-block-media-text__content\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-color\" style=\"color:#6d6e71\">Adult B\u2019nei Mitzvah<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>For those who did not have the opportunity to observe this important rite of passage, we offer a special class to address the Jewish learning and skills that allow adults to experience this significant event. These classes are held depending on interest. Please contact Rabbi Dell&#8217;Era if interested. <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text alignfull has-media-on-the-right is-stacked-on-mobile\" style=\"grid-template-columns:auto 40%\"><div class=\"wp-block-media-text__content\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-color\" style=\"color:#6d6e71\">World Wide Wrap<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>On the morning of Superbowl Sunday, we participate in the World Wide Wrap. This is a morning when Conservative Jews all around the world gather to put on tefillin and pray.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Rabbi Dell&#8217;Era and her crew of trainers teach how to \u201cWrap yourself up in God.\u201d They will help anyone who wants to try this important mitzvah.
