It starts with monthly Tot Shabbats and Shabbat Sing-a-longs, as well as our popular Storytime and Craft program. All ages are very welcome for services \u2013 we have a playroom and a play area in the sanctuary itself with quiet toys and books. We also have a variety of holiday programs and social programs throughout the year for families for kids and adults to get to know each other. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Temple Shalom has had a popular Tot Shabbat program for over 10 years. It is run by a preschool teacher who uses puppets and props, tells stories, does a Sabbath-appropriate craft and sings Hebrew songs. She also has created her own tot prayer book that includes several common prayers that she does with the kids each month along with marching with stuffed Torahs. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-central-palette-6-color has-text-color\" id=\"ChildrenServices\">Shabbat with Children<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-28f84493 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:66.66%\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/templeshalommedford.org\/wp2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/screenshot-simirabinowitz.shootproof.com-2019.10.24-20_14_43.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-167\" width=\"492\" height=\"328\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:33.33%\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Tot Shabbat (0-5 years)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Second Saturday of the month at 11 AM&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In a relaxed and fun atmosphere, introduce your child to the joy of Shabbat with kid-friendly prayer, songs, puppets, stories and a special Shabbat craft. The kids can get up and move around; you don\u2019t need to worry if they wander in and out of the room.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Shabbat Yeladim (6-8 years)<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Second Saturday of the month at 10:30 AM<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This a fun introduction to Shabbat morning services. We include prayers, stories, and songs, and encourage all of the kids to get involved. Parents are invited, but not required, to attend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Junior Congregation (pre-B\u2019nei Mitzvah)<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Second Saturday of the month at 10:30 AM<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kids have an opportunity to run the service themselves, take out a special Torah, recite the blessings, learn the melodies, and act out the weekly Parsha.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-28f84493 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:33.33%\">\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Shabbat Mishpacha<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Every third Friday of the month at 6:45 pm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the school year, Hebrew school students help lead prayers. The sermon engages all ages, and parts of the service have a bit more explanation. Oneg (dessert) to follow, of course!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:66.66%\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"2992\" height=\"2992\" src=\"https:\/\/templeshalommedford.org\/wp2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/copy-of-img_0012.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-421\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Shabbat Sing-alongs with Rabbi Dell&#8217;Era<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Get your wiggles out, shake your sillies out, all while experiencing the joy of shabbat. Kids 0-7 (with parent) are invited to sing, and dance, to shabbat songs. Led by Rabbi Dell&#8217;Era on guitar.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For 15 minutes, right after dinner, during our once-per-month community Friday night Shabbat dinners. Check the <a href=\"https:\/\/templeshalommedford.org\/wp2\/gather\/calendar-of-events\/\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/templeshalommedford.org\/wp2\/gather\/calendar-of-events\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">calendar<\/a> for the next dinner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">AND&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One Saturday shabbat morning per month from 11:30 AM-noon. Stay for kiddush lunch with the whole congregation after sing-a-long. This is either the 3rd or 4th Saturday of each month.
